Longview Longview
Behold! The first Green Day video. "Longview" off of Dookie was played all over MTV when it first debuted. Hell, this is the first Green Day video I ever saw. Longview sparked it all off. People were getting an idea of who this punk band from California was. Green Day got off cheap to, the whole video only cost around $300, and it was filmed in Billie's and Mike's apartment.

Released in 1994.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

Basketcase Basketcase
The most widely known video, "Basketcase", was also off the album Dookie. The video takes place in a mental hospital, and the guys are patients there. The other patients have these weird masks on. This video got major airplay on MTV...it skyrocketed Green Day to the top.

Released in 1994.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

When I Come Around When I Come Around
"When I Come Around", the 3rd single off Dookie, is one of my personal favorites. It has the guys following people around for awhile. This single had major success with the public and critics alike. Jason White, Green Day's longtime friend and touring guitarist, appears in this video.

Released in 1994.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

Geek Stink Breath
Geek Stink Breath
"Geek Stink Breath" was Green Day's first release off their 1995 album, Insomniac. This video was very gory and not for people with weak stomaches. I must admit though, this was my least favorite Green Day video.

Released in 1995.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

Stuck With Me
Stuck With Me
"Stuck With Me", the 2nd single off Insomniac, featured the characters found in the Insomniac artwork entitled "God Told Me To Skin You Alive". This video was not released on single, only in a music video.

Released in 1995.
Directed by Mark Kohr.
Running Time: 2:18

Brain Stew/Jaded
Brain Stew/Jaded
"Brain Stew" and "Jaded" are actually 2 songs on the Insomniac CD. The video put both songs together. This video is strange, I don't even know what the hell it's about. I like the end though, when they start "Jaded". In that scene, they show the band playing. This was also the first video that Mark Kohr didn't direct, and the longest yet.

Released in 1996.
Directed by Kevin Kerslake.
Running Time: 4:30

Walking Contradiction
Walking Contradiction
Like "Stuck With Me", "Walking Contradiction" didn't get a single, just a video. This video has the guys walking and all around them accidents are happening. Pretty cool. This video cost around $300,000 to make, so it better be cool.

Released in 1996.
Directed by Roman Copolla.

Hitchin' a Ride
Hitchin' a Ride
"Hitchin' a Ride" was the first single off Green Day's 1997 album, nimrod. The video has them playing in a theater.

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)
"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)", was the second single off nimrod. This features Billie Joe just playing his guitar in an apartment somewhere. All throughout the video, it shows other people going on with their lives, including Mike and Tre. This video is also one of my personal favorites. Incidently, this song was also a critic fav. Critics said that this was Green Day's "mature look into life". The punks, however, didn't like it that much.

Released in 1997.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

Redundant
Redundant
"Redundant" was the 3rd release off of nimrod. It has the band playing in a room somewhere with people behind them. The same scene plays over and over again behind the band, hence the name "Redundant".

Released in 1998.
Directed by Mark Kohr.

Nice Guys Finish Last
Nice Guys Finish Last
Although "Nice Guys Finish Last" is on the nimrod. album, this song was actually released as a single off of the "Varsity Blues" soundtrack. In this video, Green Day has their own football team, cheerleaders, feild decoration, you know...the works. I like this video too. The whole video itself has a lot of energy too it.

Released in 1999.
Directed by Evan Bernard.
Running Time: 4:07

Last Ride In
Last Ride In
"Last Ride In", was also another video that Green Day made. The song is just instrumental, and it didn't get a single. All I really know about this video is it was it is supposively for a Green Day documentary.

Released in 1999.
Running Time: 3:49

Minority
Minority
"Minority" is the first single off Green Day's sixth album, Warning. This is an awesome video that features Green Day riding through a town on a float in a parade. Billie Joe comes really close to the screen and he looks so awesome. They also had custom made floats of that look like each member of the band. At the end of the video, the guys destroy the float. This is another one of my personal favorites.

Released in September 2000.
Directed by Evan Bernard.

Warning
Warning
This "Warning" is the second, offical, video off the Warning album. This video features a guy doing things that would obvously cause him harm and that society tells people not to do. Watch for all the 'wrong' things he does.

Released in 2000.
Directed by Francis Lawrence.
Running Time: 3:45

Waiting
Waiting
"Waiting" is the third video off Warning. This video is like Green Day is having a party or friends just having a good time. Otherwise, I really don't know how to describe it.

Released in 2001.
Directed by Marc Webb.
Running Time: 3:50

Macy's Day Parade
Macy's Day Parade
"Macy's Day Parade" is the fourth video off the Warning album. This video all black and white, and features Billie Joe mostly. He is walking around some kind of construction site. Later, he joins Mike and Tre to play part of the song.

Poprocks & Coke
Poprocks & Coke
"Poprocks & Coke" is from the greatest hits album "International Superhits". I'm not sure if it's an official video, but here it is. It just features the guys having fun and being Green Day. I love the parts where Billie is playing the guitar and the American flag is the in the background.

Warning
Warning (Unofficial)
This is the first unofficial video for "Warning". This video is just like clips from their tours and them recording in the studio. It's pretty cool.

American Idiot
American Idiot
The first single off the long awaited album, "American Idiot". This is one of the best videos Green Day have ever done, it's very original and very cool with a special effects showing them playing at different speeds.

Released in August 2004.
Directed by Samuel Bayer.
Running Time: 3:02

Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Boulevard of Broken Dreams
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is the second single off the American Idiot album. It's actually part 2 of 2. As one would expect, this has the guys walking around town, and also jamming on their instruments. The video has a great "vintage" feel to it, due to the scratchy film.

Released in November 2004.
Directed by Samuel Bayer.
Running Time: 4:52

Holiday
Holiday
And here is Part 1 of 2. The video for "Holiday" was recorded as a prequel to "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". It was released second however. You can actually see at the end of the video exactly where it leads into the video for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". The video features the guys partying and having a good time. Both at the bar and in their car. It also has Mike dressed up as Sid Vicious and bartender, Billie Joe as Rivers Cumo (Weezer) and a drunk, and Tre as Alkaline Trio and a woman (in the bar).

Released in March 2005.
Directed by Samuel Bayer.

Wake Me Up...
Wake Me Up When September Ends
The fourth release from the American Idiot album, this is the video for "Wake Me Up When September Ends". The video is a mini-movie, revolving around the lives of a young couple in love. The boy enlists in the army and goes to war. This is based on Samuel Bayer's interpetation of the song. "Wake Me Up When September Ends" is the only video in which Jason White appears as a "member" of Green Day.

Released in June 2005.
Directed by Samuel Bayer.
Running Time: 7:09

Wake Me Up...
Jesus of Suburbia
The fifth release from the American Idiot album. The video is mini-movie following the character "Jesus of Suburbia" from the album. It brings to life the story that the album was trying to portray. The lead roles in the video are played by Lou Taylor Pucci and Kelli Garner

Short version released October 25, 2005. Long version pending release: November 1, 2005.
Directed by Samuel Bayer.
